SMS Terms & Conditions

Program Description

VendBase uses Twilio to send SMS text messages on behalf of Operators (mobile vendors who use VendBase to manage their business). SMS messages are transactional and include:

Order status updates — Notifications when your order is received, being prepared, ready for pickup, completed, or cancelled.
Booking confirmations — A confirmation message when you submit a booking request.

SMS messages are sent only when the Operator has enabled SMS notifications in their VendBase settings. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

Consent

You opt in to receive SMS messages by checking the SMS consent checkbox when placing an order or submitting a booking request through a VendBase-powered business page. By checking the box, you expressly consent to receive automated transactional text messages from VendBase on behalf of the Operator.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase, booking, or use of VendBase. Providing your phone number and checking the consent box is entirely optional. You may place orders and submit bookings without opting in to SMS. This SMS consent is separate from any other terms or agreements.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will receive messages only related to your specific order or booking. Typical frequency is 1–3 messages per transaction:

Order received confirmation (1 message)
Order status change (1–2 messages as status progresses)
Booking confirmation (1 message)

Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from VendBase. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number.

You may also opt out by simply not providing a phone number on future orders or bookings.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

Supported Carriers

SMS messages are delivered via Twilio and are supported by all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Phone numbers provided for SMS are used solely to deliver transactional messages related to your order or booking. Phone numbers are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with Twilio, our SMS delivery provider, for the purpose of delivering messages.
